59 years ago, the Halifax Art Festival began with the dream of a cultural tradition of expanding the area’s balanced growth of business and social behavior. Out of the determination and personal aid of private donors, The Museum of Arts & Sciences was formed. Officially opened in 1971, it has become a cornerstone of new development in the downtown area.
2022 Festival Event
This year’s Halifax Art Festival will be held on November 5 and 6 along Beach Street in Daytona Beach, Florida. Artists from around the world will gather to take part in their media of choice for a host of prizes and sales. This has become a popular event for tourists and locals.
The event is organized, presented, and operated by volunteers to benefit the Museum of Arts and Sciences program. Family-friendly and community-oriented, the festival attracts over 30,000 visitors each year and hosts around 150 artists.
