Why Insulate Your Attic?
We all want our homes to be as energy-efficient as possible. We want low energy bills, we want our homes to be comfortable all year long, and we want to make sure that the money we are spending is well placed. Keeping this in mind, one of the best ways to keep your home energy efficient is with attic insulation.
What Types of Attic Insulation are There?
There are plenty of different types of insulation to choose from when looking to get your attic insulated. The two most common are spray foam insulation and fiberglass insulation. Both are very helpful in keeping your energy bills low and keeping your home comfortable.
Fiberglass insulation is that large, fluffy, and somewhat cotton candy-looking insulation that is put down in sheets in your attic or in your empty spaces to help prevent heat loss and to keep your home feeling comfortable and warm. Insulation works to help slow heat transfer so that the heat does not get out during the winter and so that the heat does not get in during the summer.
Spray Foam is best if you have very small spaces that you may need to spray in foam to help insulate. Between walls, in the attic, if there is not enough space for fiberglass insulation and anywhere that traditional insulation might not work.
Why Insulate Your Attic?
Insulating your attic is a great way to ensure that it is going to be comfortable all year round and that you are going to have a huge energy loss over the warmer summer months. Insulation can help keep your home from losing the heat that you are using and to help keep your home cooler during the summer, as well to prevent heat from coming into the home as well.
